Taiwan—What’s in a National Identity?

Victoria graduated from the University of Victoria with a BSc where she double majored in Microbiology and Pacific and Asian Studies. Her professional history includes experience as an ELL instructor and education assistant for the Continuing Education Department at the University of Victoria. For the past five years, she has worked as a houseparent and student leadership advisor at an independent boarding school for girls. She is currently studying for her master’s degree in public policy and Global Affairs at the University of British Columbia. The focus of her studies is global governance and security, particularly regarding Taiwan because of her Taiwanese heritage. Her interdisciplinary learning and work experience has given her a strong appreciation for intersectionality, anti-racism, and education.
