"I was born and raised primarily in the Prairies and moved to Ontario, where I completed College and started working in the newspaper industry. After Peter and I married in 1987, work opportunities led us back to Western Canada, and we landed in Victoria in 1995. I had an opportunity to work at home raising our two very energetic children, Carson and Zoe. Contributing to our community, especially the sick and the poor, has been an interest Peter and I have always shared.

I founded and led the CNIB Eye Appeal Art Event over a 20 year span.

I have also sat on many boards, including the Greater Victoria Hospitals Foundation, The Garth Homer Society, CNIB and Make-A-Wish Foundation.

I have had many exciting and rewarding experiences throughout the course of charity and community involvement, including playing tennis with John McEnroe against Andre Agassi, rappelling down a 13 storey building, experiencing a cable assisted landing on the Abraham Lincoln.

I am also a proud member and Deputy Commander of the Sovereign Order of St. John.

I enjoy a wide range of activities including running, Crossfit, bridge, tennis and pickleball and playdates with my 7 year-old grandson, Carter."
