2025-2030 Community Plan to Functional Zero Homelessness

Currently, Sylvia is the Chief Executive Officer of the Alliance to End Homelessness in the Capital Region, a Victoria based, charitable non-profit organization.  She also is the CEO of a consulting firm specializing in strategic planning, governance and risk management for other non-profit organizations in B.C.

She is a seasoned leader, administrator and strategist who has spent most of her career the not-profit sector as CEO or Executive Director of organizations with multi-million dollar budgets, including social services agencies, foundations and associations.

She has an MBA, in Strategy and Human Resources from HEC Montreal (Universite de Montreal), a Master’s in Political Science from McGill University, a Master’s Certificate in Risk Management, from Schulich School of Business (York University), and certifications in Governance, Coaching and Indigenous Awareness Studies.

She has a rich history of volunteerism and currently volunteers as a Board Member with MOSAIC of BC in Vancouver, with the Victoria Downtown Residents Association’s Urban Livability Committee and with her Strata Council in Victoria.

She is an activist who is passionate about human beings, building connections, well-being for all and engaging with everyone to enhance our province’s livability for all its residents and citizens.
