Let’s Make Victoria Fun Again: Rotary’s City Challenge

Jonathan Willcocks is the Founder and Chief Visionary of Pinnacle Pursuits, an experiential learning and adventure‑based event company he launched in 1997. His journey began as a wilderness and life‑skills counselor working with young offenders, where he discovered the transformative power of nature, challenge, teamwork, and reflection. Driven by a desire to help people step outside their comfort zones and grow together, Jonathan created Pinnacle Pursuits to bring these experiences to a wider audience. Today, Jonathan and his team continue to design meaningful experiences that inspire connection, purpose, and positive community impact.

Christina Compton is a recent UVic BCom grad, life-long Victorian, and now Consultant at KPMG. She has always been deeply involved in the community, running events for young women in business throughout university, volunteering at Our Place, teaching free park yoga in the summer, and now at KPMG, she Chairs a committee for the national Women in Tech community. In the Victoria office, she is often the point of contact for recruiting activities and supports organizations looking to host events in the Ignition Hub. Bringing people together has always been a passion, and she’s excited to become more involved with Rotary!

Christina and Jonathon will speak about the collaborative vision behind the UrbaCity, how strategic partnerships can create meaningful community‑level change, and what this year’s event aims to achieve for participants, local charities, and downtown Victoria.
