Travel Trends on Vancouver Island

Brian Cant is President, 4TVI, part of the 4VI Group. a social enterprise created to ensure that travel is a force for good for Vancouver Island.
Brian has worked in the tourism industry for more than 20 years developing and executing communications and engagement strategies. Inspired by his  summer job guiding visitors through the underground mine at the Rossland Museum in the Kootenays, Brian has focused his career in tourism. He previously worked as Director, Communications & Engagement for the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority, a community-based not-for-profit that is committed to sustainable stewardship of Victoria’s working harbour. His career has also included roles with tartanbond and Destination British Columbia.

Brian is a graduate of the Gustavson School of Business MBA program and hold a BA in History and Geography and a Diploma in Public Relations from the University of Victoria and sits as a member of the UVic Board of Governors.

He is a proud member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and one-half of a two-dad family. Growing up less than five minutes away from the ski lifts at Red Mountain Resort in Rossland, BC, Brian first put on skis by his dad at the age of 18 months and barely looked back or slowed down. He managed to share his lifelong passion for the sport by having his daughter on skis around the same time, to somewhat mixed results.
