Ian Robertson
Victoria Harbour Authority

Ian will provide an overview of who GVHA is and its plans for the safe restart of the cruise season.

Princess Cruises’ Caribbean Princess will arrive in Victoria on April 6, marking the first cruise ship to arrive in the city since October 2019 – and the first cruise ship to arrive at any Canadian port over the past two years. The Caribbean Princess is the first of 358 cruise ship calls that are scheduled to arrive in Victoria between April and November. With those ships comes an estimated 780,000 passengers, according to the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority.

As CEO, Ian is responsible for ensuring that the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority remains committed to the stewardship and sustainable growth of Victoria’s dynamic working harbour.

Prior to joining GVHA, Robertson was CEO for the Tourism Industry Association of BC. During his career, he held various senior positions in communications, government relations, sales and marketing with Rocky Mountaineer and served two terms as an elected park commissioner and chair of the park board in the City of Vancouver.

In addition Brian Shaugnessy will provide an update regarding the "Final Reveal" of all the funds raised at our Galey Farms events supporting our school food programs.  He will also officially introduce Jamie as the new "School Food Program Fundraising Committee" Lead/Chair and then Dennis Truss will give a brief overview of the activities of the new "School Food Program Liaison Committee".

Plus PH pins will be handed out.
