Boma will be sharing with us, her work with the Support Network for Indigenous Women & Women of Colour, and the realities of racialized women's healthcare in BC.

 

Originally from Nigeria, Boma has lived in Botswana and the United States, and is happy to call Victoria home. In 2014, she founded the Support Network for Indigenous Women & Women of Colour. SNIWWOC is focused on addressing barriers that limit access to healthcare. The organization operates from a holistic and integrated service model that addresses the social, cultural and political realities of women who identify as black, indigenous, and people of colour (BIPOC). She is the recipieint of the 2020 BC Multiculturalism and Anti-racism Award.
